Policy Maker of the Year Award - Honors a Texan who has championed policies or legislation that positively impacted the quality of life and right to choose for individuals with IDD in Texas.

Employer of the Year Award - Honors a business that provides meaningful employment opportunities to individuals with IDD in Texas.

Community Partner of the Year Award - Honors an outstanding community member or agency that has worked closely with The Arc of Texas and people with IDD to promote inclusion.

Virginia Eernisse Legacy Award – This is a newly created award in honor of the work and legacy of Mrs. Virginia Eernisse. Throughout her lifetime, Virginia spearheaded the establishment of Special Olympics, TARS, The Arc of the Gulf Coast and Imagine Enterprises, and campaigned for progressive candidates that supported the rights of Texans with IDD. She was a staunch believer in doing for others, and fought to instill in others the belief that ALL people have value and should be recognized for their strengths.
