Welcome to this online survey from the Taunton Area Cycling Campaign (TACC). We are excited to consult you.
In 2016 we conducted a survey among more than 300 cyclists and non-cyclists to ask about their personal experience with cycling in the Taunton area. The findings resulted in a comprehensive report of key concerns, issues and barriers to cycling in the Taunton area. Ten years on, during which we have seen the national launch of Active Travel England and the introduction of new cycle infrastructure design guidance (LTN 1/20) aimed at improving cycling journeys, we remain very keen to hear your first-hand feedback.
This will help us to understand what is going well with cycling in general and the cycle infrastructure in particular in the Taunton area, and where improvements are needed. The information you provide will serve as input for our current and future campaigns.
In this survey we focus on numerous topics related to cycling in the Taunton area. We pay special attention to road safety (including dangerous roads and crossings), the joys of cycling, connectivity, cycle parking provision and road design.
The results will be analysed, reported and presented to Somerset Council and Taunton Town Council.
