UJA-Federation Synagogue Inclusion Project

Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete the following survey. Through UJA-Federation of New York’s initiative, House of Learning for All People: Opening Our Synagogues to Include People with Disabilities, which is generously supported by the Leo Oppenheimer & Flora Oppenheimer Haas Foundation, six synagogues have been selected to participate in an intensive program, facilitated by RespectAbilityUSA. This program is designed to create a more inclusive synagogue community and enhance inclusion of children with disabilities within each synagogue. The UJA-Federation of New York in collaboration with RespectAbilityUSA is working with your synagogue to establish best practices that will evolve during this program, which will then be shared with other synagogues. We are grateful for your assistance by providing critical information that will affect how we go about this work.

The purpose of this survey is to better understand your congregations' needs, and your thoughts and feelings with regards to serving people with disabilities in your congregation. Your responses will be kept ABSOLUTELY CONFIDENTIAL.  Only the independent evaluation team will receive individual answers and no one at the synagogues will have access to any information aside from the aggregated results.

This survey will be repeated at the end of the program. The survey should take you 10-15 minutes to complete. To thank you for your participation, at the conclusion of this survey, you will have the opportunity to be entered into a raffle for a $144 Amazon Gift Card.  One participant from each congregation will win a gift card.

Again, thank you in advance for your time which will help make a difference in the lives of individuals, your synagogue, and the greater Jewish community.
