Background Information

The school is currently reviewing the way classes are structured in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10.

When determining classes, there are two common options used by most schools:
STREAMING - This is where students are grouped in classes based on how well they go in their classes the previous year. This means students of similar academic ability are in the same class.
MIXED ABILITY - This is where students are put into classes randomly, so there are students of all different academic ability in the one class.

James Sheahan uses a variety of these methods at the moment. We would appreciate your feedback on what you believe helps you learn and where class structure fits in our attempts to raise the effort and achievement of all students.
