Stronger Country Communities Fund

The Stronger Country Communities Fund has been established by the NSW Government to support regional communities and help deliver local infrastructure projects. The purpose is to provide the kind of infrastructure that improves the lives of local residents - from park-lands to health centres and community halls. As a result, this fund will also ensure regional communities across NSW remain attractive and vibrant places to attract residents and new visitors.

Council is seeking input from the community to help shortlist projects for this grant program.   Council must work within strict deadlines set by the NSW Government for the application process, so it is important that everyone nominates any relevant project for consideration before 9 October 2017.

If you can think of a project that fits the funding criteria please nominate it for consideration.

The Stronger Country Communities Fund targets infrastructure projects in regional NSW to ‘improve the lives of residents and enhance the attractiveness of these areas as vibrant places to live and work'.

Projects must be at least $100,000 to $1M and can involve:

Building new community facilities to be shared by all within the community — such as parks, playgrounds, walking or cycle pathways
Refurbishing existing local facilities — such as schools and health centres, community centres, libraries
Enhancing local parks and the supporting facilities — such as kitchens and toilet blocks
