How do you view Strategic Planning?

1.Briefly describe your current strategic planning process. (For example: we get together for a weekend and hammer things out or we meet multiple times or the CEO decides and lets us know where we are going.) Do you use a specific methodology? e.g. Simplified Strategic Planning, Blue Ocean? Balanced Scorecard? Other?
