Thank you for your interest in the STAR (Students Tackle Abusive Relationships) auxiliary at Genesis Women's Shelter & Support! Please feel free to share this application with friends and prospective members who may be interested in joining the program.

Please submit your application by Friday, July 26, 2019. The program will begin in August, with volunteer nights at the Genesis shelter occurring on the first Wednesday evening of each month between September-May. 

We are accepting applications for general members and STAR ambassadors. General members are invited to participate in all of our volunteer opportunities and events. STAR ambassadors will be in a leadership role, serving as the primary liaison for Genesis at their school, in addition to participating in our activities. More details are in the application below.

Note: STAR ambassadors are required to have at least one year of prior experience in the STAR program. Ambassadors will be responsible for serving as the primary liaison for Genesis at their school, identifying opportunities to recruit new members and organize projects/events to benefit Genesis (i.e. awareness event on campus, bake sale, car wash, invite Genesis staff to speak to students, etc.). You will work with the Genesis staff and STAR president to brainstorm ideas throughout the year.
