2026 SRM Research

Introduction
In previous years, our SRM research has discovered that many organisations have invested in SRM frameworks, tools and governance, but less than 10% have successfully embedded SRM into consistent ways of working across the business.

Supplier engagement often varies by function, region or individual role. Ownership can be unclear, and SRM activity is frequently concentrated around formal reviews rather than integrated into everyday decision‑making. As a result, the full potential value of strategic supplier relationships is not always realised.

This year's Global SRM Research - our 18th, titled 'Making SRM Stick' - explores how organisations are addressing this challenge. The research focuses on the practices that enable SRM to be embedded into operating models, governance, culture and behaviours - ensuring it is applied consistently across the organisation rather than relying on individual champions.

Drawing on a global dataset and grounded in the State of Flux SRM model, our research provides organisations with a clear benchmark of their current maturity and practical insight into how they compare with peers and industry best practice.

By participating in the 18th SRM research survey, you will gain:
  • A clear view of how embedded your SRM really is, and what to prioritise next.
  • A detailed benchmark of your supplier management performance, measured against industry peers to highlight strengths and improvement areas.
  • A personalised report with the option for a tailored debrief from our supplier management experts.
  • A copy of this year’s SRM Research Report, featuring key findings, real-world case studies, and thought leadership from industry pioneers.
  • An exclusive invitation to attend our in-person SRM Summits in London, Chicago, and Melbourne this October and November.
The survey takes around 30 minutes to complete and we recommend you involve cross-functional team members to gain a comprehensive view of your supplier management maturity and opportunity areas.
