Add your voice to Springfield’s Climate Action & Resilience Plan

Climate change and air pollution are affecting our community, leading to: hotter summers, wetter winters, increased risks of violent storms (like the 2011 tornado), and increased risk of poorer health (such as asthma attacks).

We have a responsibility to our children, grandchildren, and future generations to take action now! We want Springfield to be a Resilient City—ready to respond and recover from the air pollution and climate effects we are already experiencing.

The City of Springfield is developing a Climate Action and Resilience Plan, and we need your input. The plan focuses on steps the City of Springfield can take to:

  o  Protect our neighborhoods from the effects of climate change;
  o  Reduce use of energy that contributes to climate change;
  o  Ensure that people most impacted by pollution and climate change benefit from the City’s effort.

We want to learn about how residents and the City can address climate change

1) What actions are you willing to take in your home and neighborhood?
2) What actions should the City of Springfield take?

Your responses will be anonymous. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete.

If you complete the entire survey, you will be eligible to win an Energy Efficiency Kit and $25 gift card.  To enter the drawing, be sure to follow the instructions at the end of the survey.

Thank you for adding your voice to the plan for a Resilient Springfield!
