INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this form is to give you information that may affect your decision whether to say YES or NO to participate in this research, and to note the consent of those who say YES.
DESCRIPTION OF RESEARCH STUDY
Social Justice advocacy is one of the specific areas within the clinical counseling profession where competency guidelines have been outlined. However, the practical mechanisms by which counselors acquire and refine these competencies remain underexplored. This study focuses on building a broad empirical basis for future research on social justice advocacy development by establishing the relationship between long-term multicultural engagement and social justice advocacy competencies.
Participation requires completing a single survey with a total of sixty-two (61) multiple choice questions. There are three (3) sections. The Demographics section contains eight (8) questions. The Multicultural Engagements section contains fifteen (15) questions, and the Social Justice Competencies section contains thirty-eight (38) questions.
INCLUSIONARY CRITERIA
To participate you should be licensed and have completed a graduate degree in a clinical counseling field in the USA. You must also be working either in a clinical capacity or working as an educator in a graduate program.
