Smart Plugs make it easier for apartment residents to charge their electric vehicle at home. They manage billing of common area electricity, balance electrical power demand, and are much cheaper than alternative electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Waverley, Woollahra and Randwick Council's Smart Plugs Program facilitates and subsidises smart plug installations in apartments.
