By the end of this module, participants will be able to:
- Understand that primary literature can be used as a tool to teach the nature and practices of science
- Understand the underlying philosophy of A Framework for K-12 Science Education, the three dimensions, and how these relate to the nature of science.
- Understand how the redesign of the AP science standards emphasizes disciplinary practices, and the underlying philosophy is rooted in the premise that this is important not only for future scientists but for developing scientifically literate citizens.
- Identify similarities across the AP and Framework standards, and relate those back to the nature of science.
