Storytime Foundations Workshop - August 26, 2026 - Powell, Ohio

Register for Storytime Foundations, a workshop offered by Ohio Ready to Read and led by ORTR trainers Amber Cristofaro from Dayton Metro Library, Annamarie Carlson from Westerville Public Library, Barbara Scott from Bucyrus Public Library, Ben Corll from The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, and Tim Protiva from Cuyahoga County Public Library.

This workshop is supported by ORTR, Delaware County District Library, the trainers, and by the State Library of Ohio with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and is made possible at no cost to you.

The workshop will take place from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm on Wednesday, August 26 at the Liberty Branch, DCDL, 7468 Steitz Rd. in Powell. There will be a lunch break and stretch breaks.

Delaware County District Library is graciously providing lunch at no cost to attendees. Please bring a drink (water station available). Select one option:(Required.)
Plan to bring to the workshop 1-2 picture books that you enjoy. These can be books you’ve already used in storytime or books you think may be a good fit for storytime.

If you lead storytimes, please also bring a rhyme, fingerplay, or other storytime element that you are proud of and/or that works for your storytimes.
