The recruitment of engineering and technology graduates

About this survey

We are collecting information about the recruitment of engineering and technology graduates into technical roles in the engineering and technology sectors. We would like to understand more about why a smaller proportion of women than men (21% and 42% respectively) with graduate qualifications in engineering and technology move on to jobs which directly use their technical skills.

During the earlier fact finding stage of this project we heard some interesting comments about assessment centres and are interested in collecting examples of good practice in the way assessment centres are run.

Any published information will be non-attributable but we would like you to identify your company and section as a participant so that we can highlight good news and also ensure a balance of sectors and company sizes in the survey.

This survey is part of a wider piece of work that includes a survey of engineering and technology undergraduates students' career motivations and intentions. We hope to learn more about any differences in the motivations and career intentions of men and women undertaking degree courses in engineering and technology subjects.
