  • young people who have SEND
  • professionals who work with children and young people aged 0-25 years who have SEND or their parents and carers
The Children and Families Act 2014 introduced reforms for children and young people aged 0 to 25 years who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. The aim is to deliver improved learning and life outcomes through a new system of joined up working across education, health and social care.

The reforms are designed to focus on aspirations, what is important to children, young people and their families and to place them at the heart of the system.

It is four years since the introduction of the reforms and the London Borough of Bromley has completed a review of its arrangements for SEND in the borough.

As part of the SEND review, the London Borough of Bromley wants to understand what families and professionals think of the current arrangements and to understand how together we can improve the arrangements for children and young people who have SEND.

This survey will help us to reflect the views of a wide group of parents, young people and professionals.

The closing date is 30 November 2018.

The survey will be repeated termly in order to demonstrate progress from the family point of view across Bromley’s five strategic priorities.

The survey responses will be reported to the SEND Governance Board. The board is responsible for implementing the SEND reforms in Bromley. We will also make the results available on the local offer website, www.bromley.gov.uk/localoffer.
