Thank you for your interest in participating in the Nature & Wellness Fair at the Hike-a-Thon and Community Climate Action Day.

Hike-A-Thon is an annual month-long event in partnership with the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation, Live Well San Diego, and Nature Unplugged, inspiring people of all ages and abilities to take steps—literally and figuratively—toward better health, stronger communities, less screen time, and more green time. This free event inspires people of all ages and abilities to get outdoors and raise funds to bring preventative mental health programming to schools and communities in need. Participants can log miles from anywhere in the world!

Community Climate Action Day is a partnership between California Volunteers' California Climate Action Corps, the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation, and Nature Unplugged. The event brings together volunteer climate-action projects, hiking and outdoor wellness activities, lunch, and a community Nature & Wellness Fair.

We are seeking public agencies, nonprofit organizations, community groups, educational organizations, and other partners that provide information, resources, programs, or activities related to climate action, nature, outdoor recreation, health and wellness, sustainability, community resilience, volunteerism, or related community services.

Organizations whose work aligns with California Climate Action Corps focus areas or California's Climate Action Counts priorities are especially encouraged to participate. Participation requests will be reviewed to ensure they are appropriate for the event and available space.
Booth Setup and Event Hours
  • Booth setup may begin as early as 8:30 a.m.
  • Volunteer check-in begins at 9:00 a.m.
  • No booth setup between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. due to the kickoff presentation.
  • Booth setup may resume at 10:00 a.m.
  • All booths must be fully set up by 11:15 a.m.
  • The Nature & Wellness Fair runs from 11:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Booths should remain set up and staffed until 2:00 p.m.
