Introduction

With a new Chief and Council starting this August 2020 the council are encouraging Samson Cree Nation members to participate in the development of a Community strategic plan to enhance our community Capital plan.

Here is the current

Vision:

Samson Cree Nation is a Healthy, Educated, Knowledgeable and Industrious community.

Mission:

Samson Cree Nation is a sovereign nation that is dedicated to improving a quality of life for all our people by maximizing our human resources and by respecting our cree language and traditions by our people.

In doing so, we Honor, Promote and Live our Traditional values of:

Wahkotowin: Kinship

Sakitowin: Loving

Nehiyaw manitonecikan/pimatisiwin: Cree thought & Way of Life

Tapwewin: Truth

The mission, vision and values were last updated in 2017.

There will be a series of community engagements in the month of October with the projected completion of the process by October 25, 2020.
