Introduction

Question Title

* This is an application for funding from the School Safety Zone Account (RCW 46.61.440) administered by Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC) to support projects that will improve the safety of students walking and/or rolling or riding a bus to/from school. Successful applications will demonstrate partnerships within communities to plan for, implement, and evaluate identified solutions to identified problems.

It is anticipated that contracts will be executed with successful applicants by July 31, 2021. There are two choices for length of project - 11 months and 23 months. Assuming an August 1, 2021 start date for projects, 11-month projects will run from August 1, 2021-June 30, 2022 and 23-month projects will run from August 1, 2021-June 30, 2023.

The deadline for applications is 5 p.m., May 7, 2021.

Applications will only be accepted if submitted through this SurveyMonkey application.

To apply, please follow the following steps:

Step One: Read the Request for Proposal document thorougly.

Step Two: Participate in a Pre-proposal Conference. This is highly recommended, but not required.

Step Three: Complete all required forms, acquire proper signatures for all forms, and prepare your response to the Project Narrative, Timeline, and Budget (Budget Overview, Budget Justification, and Indirect Cost Letter) sections of the application.

Step Four: Make sure to have all required Letters of Support and attach the letters of support as the last pages of your response document.

Step Five: Access the online submission tool and answer the four questions.


Step Six: Upload your response materials - all of the materials identified in Steps Three and Four - through the "Choose File" function at the bottom of the SurveyMonkey form.

Step Seven: Click "Done."

Once you click "Done," the application will be submitted and a time/date stamp will be affixed to the application.
