2021-2022 Return To School Plan

On August 13th Alberta Education and Alberta Health released the 2021-2022 School Year Plan and Guidance for Respiratory Illness Prevention documentation to provide school divisions with the necessary guidance for health best practices for the upcoming school year. East Central Catholic would like to hear your constructive feedback regard to the latest provincial return to school recommendations.
1.What school or schools do your children currently attend?(Required.)
2.Do you support the government’s decision to pause the removal or lifting of specific measures/protocols at least until September 27, 2021?(Required.)
3.Do you support the decision to maintain mandatory masking on school busses and public transportation? *(Required.)
4.Do you support the government’s decision to allow school authorities (divisions) to implement stronger measures – such as mandatory masking – in response to local situations and concerns? *(Required.)
5.Do you support the use of the Daily Health Checklist for school staff, students, and visitors? *(Required.)
6.Do you support the AHS requirement for an individual with a positive COVID-19 test result to isolate? *(Required.)
7.Do you support the government’s decision that school staff, students or visitors testing positive for COVID-19 do not have to report their illness to the school? *(Required.)
8.Do you support the government’s decision that schools and school authorities do not have to report positive cases of COVID-19 to Alberta Health Services? *(Required.)
9.Do you support the government’s plan to have temporary vaccination clinics in schools for students in Grade 7 – 12 as well as teachers and staff, starting on September 20? *(Required.)
