Dear Professional,
This is your invitation to participate in a study that involves research to explore the challenges, if any, of working with disputing same-sex parents and their experiences in the family justice system. This online survey should take no more than 20 minutes to complete, and may be done at your convenience.
Same-sex parenting can raise some complex and controversial issues in family law cases. We would like to learn more about these experiences in order to better inform future practice and policy work in family law. The information may add a unique perspective as it comes from practitioners themselves; an area of research that is presently lacking. Some participant’s may have extensive experience, while others have more limited experience with disputing same-sex parenting issues before the court. Some professionals have no experience with this practice, and may not wish to participate at all in the online survey.

We are asking legal and mental health professional across Ontario to consider completing an anonymous and confidential online survey. The online survey shall take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Questions in the survey are related to experience in working with the same-sex population involved in the family justice process.
