As we continue to prepare for the upcoming school year, your input is needed.  As of today, the district intends to offer parents and students options for how they will be attending school this year.  The health and safety of our students and staff is a top priority.  Plans reflect guidance from the CDC, Minnesota Department of Health, and Minnesota Department of Education.  
 
In order for the district to efficiently plan for the upcoming school year, we ask that you complete the following survey for each child that you have in the district.  Your information will remain private and will only be used by district administrative staff to aid in return to school planning.  Please complete this survey by Sunday, August 2nd.  Fill out the survey one time for each child in K-12.  For example, if you have two children in the district, we ask that you fill out this survey two separate times.  
 
Please review your options and select your choice for the FIRST semester.  Families will receive another survey prior to the start of second semester.
 
Option A:  
My child will participate in any of the three possible scenarios as COVID data requires for the first semester.  
 
Scenario 1:  In - Person Learning Model
  • All students and staff will be required to wear a mask
  • Students will likely eat lunch in classrooms (closed lunch for 9-12)
  • Navigate from school entry immediately to classrooms
  • No use of lockers

Scenario 2:  Hybrid Learning Model

Scenario 3:  Distance Learning Model
  • Full time distance learning with support
  • School issued iPads

Option B:  
Distance learning for the first semester.  All students will be issued an iPad.  Students choosing full-time distance learning will remain enrolled in their current school, but some classes may not be available.  This model will require students to connect with classes at specific assigned times.  Students will be eligible for extra-curricular activities.
