About the Project

The area along Beach Street East has been identified as an area at risk of flooding at and beyond the 1:100-year lake-flood level due to wave run up. The Alberta Government, with the support of Klohn Crippen Berger (engineering) and O2 Planning + Design (landscape architecture, planning and engagement), is investigating options to mitigate flood risk. The project outcome could involve altering the beach front adjacent to approximately 20 private lots, potentially impacting their access and views.

The following pages outline two flood protection options. Please provide your comments to the project team.
