During the Roadshow, topics that participants will learn about include:
- The roles people with lived experience can play in research, as well as training resources specific to each role
- Tools to plan, implement, and evaluate the success of PER
- Overview of PER related to grant applications
2. Plain Language Summary Roadshow: Designed to empower scientists, research staff, and trainees with the skills and knowledge to effectively communicate their research through plain language summaries (PLS). During the Roadshow, participants will:
- Learn why plain language summaries are essential for enhancing public understanding and engagement with scientific research
- Receive step-by-step guidance on how to create clear, concise, and informative PLS that effectively convey complex research findings
- Participate in interactive exercises and receive personalized feedback to refine their PLS writing skills
