Thank you for your interest in creating an original custom art piece or donating an existing work to hang on the walls of the new Ronald McDonald House (RMH) which is slated to open in early 2019 in the Jonestown neighborhood of Baltimore. RMH is a warm, comforting, welcoming, loving home-away-from-home for children and families who are facing unimaginable medical challenges.  Artwork can be healing and can raise the human spirit. We are looking for happy, whimsical, colorful, cheerful art that will help our families smile. We want this art to “rock” the House, to be fun and engaging! This artwork will be installed on the three floors where the families spend most of their time.

General Requirements if selected as a Finalist:
If you are selected as a Finalist for RMH’s ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE artist Call for Contributions  you will be asked to then comply with the following requirements:

- Each artist who has been selected as a finalist must submit a proposal for their art to include a sketch/drawing along with a brief description of the artwork, size, medium, and any other information that will help our arts committee in selecting artwork to be showcased in the New House.

- Since this is The House That LOVE Built, if you are creating a custom piece, we are requesting that a heart of any size be included in your artwork.  As the name of the project is ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE, we would like to have a little bit of love in each piece of art. Our goal is to provide a heart scavenger hunt for our families.  We envision the children spending time looking for all the hearts on our gallery walls.

- All designs must be appropriate for family viewing.
Artwork Selections:
RMH will review all Finalist proposals and select appropriate artwork for the new House. The selection process will be on-going so artists will be notified as soon as their proposal is accepted.

Submission of a proposal(s) will not guarantee that the proposal will be selected.

Artists whose proposal is accepted agree that donation of completed artwork is a charitable contribution to RMH. Completed artwork must match the accepted proposal. Artists grant RMH the right to use or publish images of the work for promotional purposes. Selected artwork may be included on the RMH website, Facebook page or other social media sites for the sole purpose of promotion. All uses of artwork will be credited to the artist. Artists will be asked to sign an artist agreement upon acceptance of artwork.

Artist Appreciation:
Thousands of people from all over the world will view the artwork. The hallways and common areas of the new Ronald McDonald House will become art galleries that will be visited by donors, families, and dignitaries. Artwork will be identified with a plaque below artwork. The artwork will be spotlighted in the RMH newsletter which is sent to 25,000 interested people. Artwork may appear on the RMH website, Facebook page and in other communications materials. Selected artwork will be displayed at the 2018 fundraising gala in November. Artists will be invited to an Artist Reception and other opening events before the House officially opens in early 2019.
