Survey: Experiences of Harm in Spiritual and Religious Community

Introduction and Informed Consent

This preliminary survey explores the dynamics of power, accountability, safety, and harm within spiritual and religious communities. Participation is voluntary and anonymous. We are not asking for personal information or assessing demographics at this time. All responses are confidential.

This information provided in this survey will help identify areas where our community can better align with the values of safety, trustworthiness, transparency, respect, fairness, consistency, peer support, collaboration, community, and empowerment.

The data collected in this survey will be used to craft research for a presentation at Harvard University and may be used to develop future studies and research.

We are grateful for any information that you share with us. We recognize that reflecting on these experiences may elicit an emotional response may be a reminder of past, painful harm. Please participate to your comfort level. You have full control over what you choose to share. Please prioritize your well-being. If you feel activated, please pause, ground yourself, and step away. You may skip any question or stop at any time.

Scale: 1 = Not at all | 2 = Slightly | 3 = Moderately | 4 = Very much | 5 = Extremely
