What is Reel Impact?

Viacom Reel Impact is a 9 week program, designed to teach young filmmakers how to promote their films through social media campaigns. The class is meant to help our students promote their films in order to connect with a global community. During the course of this program students will be able to:
  • Understand the process of "going viral."
  • Develop marketing materials such as movie trailers and posters with the support of Viacom mentors.
  • Work with local non-profits and community based organizations to create a social impact campaign that will connect your film to larger audiences.
10 students will be selected for Viacom Reel Impact. In order to apply, students must:
1. Have a completed film that you produced, directed, wrote, shot, or acted in.
2. Complete the application. Deadline is Friday, April 26th at 5pm.
2. Schedule an in person interview by Friday, May 3rd.
If selected, students should be prepared to start class on Monday, May 6th. Classes take place every Monday from 4:30pm-6:30pm until July 1st.
