VOLUNTEER SERVICE PROJECT SIGN UP All projects will meet at 10a sharp on Saturday, June 20 at the location specified for each. Question Title * 1. Which Adirondack Rail Trail Community Day Volunteer Service Project would you like to join? KIOSK INSTALLATION AT WILL ROGERS CONNECTORThis is a big project that will require digging holes, installing posts, and assembly of a post and beam kiosk structure. This project will require some people who can lift the kiosk assembly, people who are comfortable digging. Carpentry skills will be helpful, but not needed. Work gloves recommended.MEETING LOCATION: ALDI Parking Lot PET WASTE STATION INSTALLATION & SAND REMOVALHelp install two pet waste stations at Fowler's crossing (install a post and bolt pieces to it)-- all tools and materials provided. Then drive to road intersections in Ray Brook and shovel sand out of the intersection.MEETING LOCATION: Fowler's Crossing. BRUSH CUTTINGThis is a bike as you go project. Ride from Tupper Lake toward Floodwood Road cutting brush that has been left at the side of the trail and throwing it further back into the woods. Hand saws and gloves helpful.MEETING LOCATION: Washington Street Parking Lot in Tupper Lake FENCE REPAIR IN SARANAC LAKERepair sections of the wooden fence damaged this winter. Tools provided.
