Public Consultation for the Policy Ask of the Alliance for Maternal Health Equality
Introduction This public consultation is part of a larger, strong methodological approach for better, equitable maternal healthcare in Europe.
Step 1: as part of the European Maternal Health Policy Landscape Analysis we assessed the rights of women to receive maternal healthcare and the corresponding requirements imposed on EU Member States to provide maternal healthcare.
Step 2: Together with the input of its members and a dedicated task force, and with the support of White & Case and Hill & Knowlton, the Alliance for Maternal Health Equality has produced a shared Policy Ask representing the first step towards making maternal health equity a reality in Europe
Step 3: The current public consultation will help validate the relevancy of each of the proposals outlined in the Ask. In this first stage, the Ask focuses on prenatal care. Subsequent Asks may expand to antenatal care and other areas of care.
