Rockwood Promise Revision Feedback

On April 29, the Strategic Plan Steering Committee met for the final time, reviewed the Goal Areas and the Promise and made changes based on the latest feedback from the community survey and the Administrative Council. There were minor adjustments to the latest version of the goal areas, which have been tweaked throughout the process based on patron feedback. However, the committee made significant changes to the Rockwood Promise, also based on community feedback and another look by the Administrative Council. Therefore, we are asking all community patrons to take another look at this revised Promise.

As a reminder, the Rockwood Promise will embody who we are as a school district and a community and how we operate and interact with each other. This Promise acts as a shared foundation or starting point that addresses every child, empowering us to collectively achieve our district and community aspirations. It will serve as the foundation for our next five-year strategic plan.

So please take a moment to review this updated Promise. If you already weighed in, let us know what you think about the changes. If this is your first time taking a look at the Promise, please let us know what you think. Your feedback will be used for any final revisions before it is brought to the Board of Education in June.

Sincerely,

Curtis Cain, Ph.D.
Superintendent
