Our Football club will be taught by the staff from Coaching Solutions.  

The cost of this club is $10 a session.
In term 3 the total cost of Monday Football is $80 for 8 weeks.
Please note this club starts on Monday 23 July and finishes on Monday 17 September  There is no club on Monday 3 September because of  the Operetta.

When:  Thursdays 3.00 to 4.00pm
Where:  Hall

Kapa Haka will be continued to be taken by Maaka Kahukuranui.  There is no cost for this school activity.  Please note if you have been invited to play in the orchestra in 2018 you will be unable to participate in Kapa Haka as they are run at the same time.   There is no Kapa Haka on Thursday 6 September because of the Operetta.

* 8. Treblemakers - An A Cappella Club

When:  Monday lunchtimes 12.40 to 1.25pm
Where:  Music Room

This club will be run by Voices Co who are New Zealand’s first contemporary a cappella academy.  Pupils will be coached and mentored to sing a variety of songs, working towards a small performance.

The minimum number of children required for this club is 8 and the maximum number is 18.
The cost for Contemporary Singing is $12 a session. 
In term 3 the total cost of Contemporary Singing is $96 for 8 weeks.

When:  Mondays 3.45 to 4.45pm
Where:  IV6 (Inveresk)

Pupils have the opportunity to play chess with each other and also work towards chess badges.  This club is offered for free, however there is a cost for badges.  There are opportunities to participate in inter school competitions for some pupils.

When:  Thursdays 4.00 to 5.00pm

Gary White continues to offer the popular ‘Jitsuei Kai’ Karate Club (JKF Goju Kai) at The Cathedral Grammar School. Gary Sensei is a 4th dan karate-ka who has over 26 years of experience in karate training and coaching. The classes conducted at Cathedral Grammar focus on being fun, whilst teaching sound karate technique and etiquette focusing on discipline and respect.

The minimum number of children required for this club is 4 and the maximum number is 10.
The cost of this club is $100 for the term.  This club starts on the 2nd August and runs to the 20 September.  There is no Karate on the 6 September because of the Operetta.

In Term 3, the Prep Drama Club will focus on building confidence and having fun through drama and Theatresports games. Theatresports is a form of improvisational theatre which is exhilarating and fun, both to play and watch, and we will also arrange an outing to watch Senior Theatresports teams compete in The Court Theatre's Theatresports in Schools annual competition.

There is the possibility of an optional weekend outing, to watch the heats 25-26 August at The Court Theatre.  More information will follow.

In term 3 the total cost of Tuesday Drama is $80 for 8 weeks.

When:  Tuesdays 3.45 to 4.45pm
Where:  4G

Yoga is taught by Tania from StretchMe. Movement and mindfulness is essential for our children’s physical and mental wellbeing. With the increasing use of technology we are seeing a proliferation of Forward Head posture. With compromised posture, performance and wellbeing is inhibited. Classes will increase your child’s physical and mental awareness whilst being  lengthened and strengthened.
The eight week programme is dynamic , including yoga poses, breathing techniques and partner routines. Classes are delivered to contemporary music and use a variety of equipment. Maximum class size is 16, thus enabling individualized attention. Please wear PE gear to enable full participation.  

The minimum number of children required for this club is 4.
The cost of this club is $10 a session.
In term 3 the total cost of Tuesday Yoga is $80 for 8 weeks.
Classes commence Tuesday 26th July, cost $80 and finish on Tuesday 18 September.  There is no club on Tuesday 4 September because of the Operetta

* 13. Future Engineers Club (Robotics)
When:  Tuesdays and Wednesdays 3.45 to 5.00pm
Where:  M1 (Specialist Block)

The skills learnt and experienced during this time tie in with STEM Curriculum.  (Science technology education and Mathematics).  The children will use the Lego Mindstorm programme to explore, create and problem solve.

The school will also entered into the Robocup Junior Competition which is held in August.  This is a great way for the children to use their skills learnt and work within a team.

The minimum number of children required for this club is 4 and the maximum number is 10.
The cost of this club is $10 a session.
In term 3 the total cost of Tuesday FE is $80 for 8 weeks.
In term 3 the total cost of Wednesday FE is $80 for 8 weeks.

Classes commence Tuesday 26th July/ Wednesday 27 July, cost $80 and finish on Tuesday 18 September/Wednesday 19 September.  There is no club on Tuesday 4 September/Wednesday 5 September because of the Operetta.
