Policy – JBD
Title: Gender Inclusive Schools
PURPOSE
The purpose of Policy JBD is twofold. First, to assert the Board’s commitment and responsibility to foster an educational environment that is free of discrimination for all students, regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. Second, to ensure that student’s physical and psychological safety is a priority and that that support safety, wellbeing, and success regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression are in place.

Title: Sexual Harassment
PURPOSE
By issuing a single, comprehensive policy statement, the Board of Education seeks to clarify and reaffirm its commitment to ensuring that all LCPS employees and students are provided with a work and learning environment that is free of sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is a form of discrimination based on gender or sexual orientation, which is prohibited by this policy in addition to federal law.
