Thank you for applying for the Pierce College Associate Degree in Nursing through the part-time ADN program. The LPN-RN program can be completed in 3 quarters. At the end of your experience, you will be prepared to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). This exam measures the competencies needed to be a safe, effective, entry-level registered nurse.

The full-time ADN program application submission window will be open from September 1st to October 3rd for a Spring 2026 quarter start.

Accreditation Information

The Pierce College Nursing Program is approved by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission and is accredited with conditions by the Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) formerly NLNAC, 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, Georgia, 30326.

We are required by federal regulation 34 CFR § 668.43(a)(5)(v) and 34 CFR § 668.43(c) to let you know that Pierce College Associate Degree in Nursing program meets the educational requirements for specific licensure/certification required for employment in doctor's offices and hospitals in Washington only.

Pierce College has not determined if the curriculum of the Associate Degree in Nursing meets the educational requirements for licensure/certification in any other state. All of our courses and programs are fully accredited and course credits may transfer to university programs that are designed to meet state professional licensure/certification. - COVID-19 vaccination is longer required. Some clinical partner requirements may require it.
- Our application requirements have changed. Please visit Pierce College's Nursing Website (https://www.pierce.ctc.edu/nursing) to review the requirements for admission:
- The application does not have a fee.
- Prerequisite courses completed by the end of the application term (In this instance Fall 2025)
- We require official transcripts must be viewable in on CTCLink (classes pending completion are okay). You must submit outside official transcripts that have required perquisites to the evaluations office (evaluations@pierce.ctc.edu).
- We no longer require personal statement responses in the application.
- Pass background check(s). Please read through the disqualifying factors.
