Deadline - August 14, 2020

2020 is a great year to volunteer your talents as we are celebrating the 11th anniversary of LGBTQIA2S+ Pride in the Northstate.
Our committee works to make all Redding Pride events available to the community at no or low cost. Volunteer entertainment is essential to this commitment and we appreciate all those who donate their performance.

Performers are not expected to audition, however, if you have not worked with the Pride Committee before email a recording of your work to To ensure a smooth event, all performers are expected to turn in their music by September 1, 2020.

If selected, performers will be compensated with a Pride t-shirt and complimentary booth space they can use to sell merchandise, provided they have a California Seller's Permit. Performers may keep their tips.

We can also help with travel costs and arrange for room and board if you are coming from out of the area.
Please keep the following in mind as you choose material for your performance:

  • The majority of Redding Pride Week events are family friendly and we have a lot of youth that attend. All performance material and costumes MUST be appropriate for all ages. No profanity or explicit sexual references.
  • Redding's LGBTQ+ community is diverse and we want to respect and empower marginalized communities. We ask that performances using culturally traditional elements be created or led by a person belonging to that culture or that the performer acknowledges the origin of their material.
  • Pride is an expression of unity. No one performer or performance group will be considered a headliner.
  • A high level of professionalism is expected of all performers. BNe punctual. Use respectful, culturally appropriate language and attire. Use of derogatory references, hate speech or other problematic language will not be tolerated. No excessive intoxication.
If accepted, performers will be required to sign a release of liability.

We reserve the right to refuse any applicant.
