1. Parent Transition Planning Survey

Transition planning begins at the age of 14 for students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs). It includes coordinated, measurable, annual IEP goals and transition services that will reasonably enable the student to meet their post-secondary goals. This simply means that the IEP team will begin talking about the future in terms on living, learning and working for the student.

Keystone AEA and area school districts continually strive to provide educational opportunities to parents of children with special needs. To better meet parent’s needs we have developed a survey to determine how, when, where, and what topics relating to transition parents are most interested in. The survey results will be compiled and used to help us develop training opportunities for the 2012-2013 school year.
