What Are Circles?
Scott County Parent Circles provide a monthly space and opportunity to connect with other parents in our community; to learn from and support one another through the ups and downs in our lives. Using the sacred Indigenous communication practice of Restorative Circles, community members will be able to connect with one another on a personal level in a comfortable and supportive setting. Circles will be led by trained Circle Keepers and conversations will focus on themes related to the Strengthening Families Approach.

Who Should Attend?
Community Circles are open to ALL parents in Scott County. Live interpretation is available.

WHAT WILL WE TALK ABOUT?
Each month there will be a Circle theme around general challenges and issues related to parenting and the Strengthening Families Approach. It is based on engaging families, programs, and communities in building five key protective factors including Parental Resilience, Social Connections, Concrete Support in Times of Need, the Social Emotional Competence of Children and Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development.
