Introduction

Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities, Inc. advocates for the rights of individuals with disabilities in South Carolina to live and work where they choose, to have equal access to services, and to be free from abuse and neglect. We do this by providing legal representation, information and referrals, trainings, abuse and neglect investigations, and advocacy for change.

P&A receives federal funding to advocate for people with many types of disabilities. Each year P&A develops goals to guide how we do this. The attached survey will help us set our goals for the next year by gathering input from the community. Unfortunately, P&A does not receive enough funding to address all the issues people with disabilities face.  It is important to note that these goals do not include all our services. We will continue to provide core services such as conducting training, outreach and information services.

Please complete this survey  to let us know what you think are the biggest problems that we should be working on. Please share the link to this survey with your friends, family and anyone who cares about people with disabilities.

Please respond by September 7, 2017. Our Board of Directors will vote on next year’s priorities on September 9, 2017. The priorities will begin October 1, 2017.
