Outstanding Professional Award 2017 |
Criteria & Content
The Outstanding Professional Award recognizes IECA member as an individual or organization that demonstrates excellence in their work in the industry and is viewed by his/her IECA peers as an industry leader through significant engagement with the IECA. The recipient must be an active member of the IECA.
Judging Criteria:
* Does the individual or organization demonstrate leadership? (20 points)
* Does the individual or organization’s peers recognize their leadership contributions to the IECA and the erosion and sediment control and stormwater professions? (20 points)
* Is the nominee’s known for their contributions to the IECA? (10 points)
Total of 50 points available. Nominations not achieving at least 50% of available points in each judging criterion and at least 75% of the overall points will not qualify form an award.
Mandatory Content:
1. Describe the nominee’s service to the IECA and contributions to the erosion and sediment control industry (maximum 400 words)
2. Describe the nominee’s demonstrated leadership capacity. (maximum 200 words)
3. Provide background information on the individual similar in content to a professional resume or curriculum vitae, including any qualifications, involvement in the erosion and sediment control/stormwater industry, and accomplishments, both professional and personal. (maximum 800 words)
4. Please list two references of individuals who are knowledgeable about, but not involved in the project.
1. Describe the nominee’s service to the IECA and contributions to the erosion and sediment control industry (maximum 400 words)
2. Describe the nominee’s demonstrated leadership capacity. (maximum 200 words)
3. Provide background information on the individual similar in content to a professional resume or curriculum vitae, including any qualifications, involvement in the erosion and sediment control/stormwater industry, and accomplishments, both professional and personal. (maximum 800 words)
4. Please list two references of individuals who are knowledgeable about, but not involved in the project.
Optional Content:
The nominator may include optional content highlighting the attributes of the individual to supplement the mandatory content. Optional content can include additional references or recommendations letters. The optional content is the nominator’s opportunity to “make the case” for the nomination proposal being selected for an IECA Outstanding Professional Award. Format optional content to facilitate electronic distribution and review of the nomination. Where possible, format optional material into a single file or provide a clear index of separate files. Optional content should not exceed 500 words. Optional content beyond 500 words may or may not be reviewed by the Awards committee.
