NAMB and the CFPB Interactive Sessions at NAMB East |
CFPB Ombudsman Interactive Feedback Survey
The CFPB Ombudsman’s Office provides an independent, impartial, and confidential resource to informally assist consumers, companies, consumer and trade groups, and others in resolving process issues with the CFPB. The Ombudsman Interactive series is a new program where the Ombudsman’s Office will facilitate discussion with and among attendees on pre-identified topics to further inform the Office’s work in providing feedback and recommendations to the CFPB.
Examples of systemic issues reviewed by the Ombudsman’s Office over the years are available in their Annual Reports to the CFPB Director, which may be read at http://www.consumerfinance. gov/cfpb-ombudsman/ombudsman- annual-reports/. As an impartial function, the Ombudsman’s Office does not speak on behalf of the CFPB and thus does not provide regulatory interpretation or analysis.
The CFPB Ombudsman's Office will be holding 3 sessions entitled CFPB Interactive focusing on 3 different segments of the mortgage industry: Senior Level Executives, Small Business Owners and Individual Loan Originators. To ensure frank and open discussion, Ombudsman Interactive sessions require pre-registration and no press, CFPB personnel, or unregistered participants will be in the session. Discussion topics will be tailored toward the interests of the intended audience, so please register for the session corresponding to your role. Please refrain from use of social media during your session. Sessions are interactive discussions rather than question-and-answer sessions, so attendance for each is capped at 75 participants.
