Healthcare Provider Survey
The Oregon Health Care Interpreters Association (OHCIA) is a 10-year-old non-profit organization that advocates for the professionalization of health care interpreters. We work to educate health care interpreters so they can be certified and qualified in the State of Oregon. Our mission is to provide Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients and the disability community and their health care providers with appropriate health care interpreting services.
Your provider perspective is a key element.
PacificSource is offering free online training and development to 50 health care interpreters working in strategic communities in Oregon from January to March of 2021. In order to measure the project success and impact, we are asking you to complete a questionnaire prior to the start of the course and one after the completion of the course.
We want to know if you noticed any advance in the delivery of language access services and patient satisfaction in relation to the interpreter that is asking you to complete these surveys. The data will be used to determine the knowledge gained from the course and any effects in the language access service provided to the LEP patients.
In this first survey we will also ask you about your experience working with LEP patients and medical interpreters.
Thank you for taking your valuable time to complete this survey. All information will be kept confidential.
