For our “Oakland Recap” experimental article, we partnered with a company called Locunity to create an AI-generated summary and transcript of the January 6 city council proceedings. Our human editors at Oakland Report reviewed the summary based on our subject-matter knowledge for accuracy and clarity and to highlight key items.
