Commercial Waste Survey |
The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality (NRRM) is conducting a survey to ask commercial and Industrial businesses what they think about the current state of waste management services. The NRRM looking at ways to divert more material, including recyclables, from ending up in the landfill – while taking into consideration the environmental, social and financial factors. Currently in the NRRM, we divert 3.2% of solid waste, and the provincial average diversion rate is 50%. The commercial and Industrial sector are major contributors to the Northern Rockies Landfill, and will be participating in diversion initiatives in the future.
