The Alberta Non-Profit Governance Initiative - a partnership of NPO support agencies and government - is working to build a triage tool for supporting organisations in need.

The goal of this tool is to support initial points of contact (such as FCSS staff, government employees, umbrella agencies, etc.) in directing non-profit organisations to the services that can help them in their times of need. To create a robust tool, we need to have a better understanding of what organisations and services currently exist to help non-profits, what they do best, and under what circumstances referrals to these programs would be appropriate.
