NJR Implant cards pilot - what did you think?

Thank you for taking a look at the example pages as part of the NJR’s pilot implant card project.

The pages you saw demonstrated what a typical NJR record for a patient looks like and how it might be shared as part of a new service providing online access.

Keeping this is mind, when you finished the registration process…
1.Was the main page with details of a typical joint replacement surgery:

2.Did you find the additional information pages easy to navigate?
3.Did you find the explanatory text helpful?
4.The online service also contained links to information about Medical Device Alerts relating to joint replacement. These are issued by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency and acted upon by hospitals who are responsible for getting in contact with patients directly.

Do you think it would be useful to provide these links?
5.The online service also contained information and links to patient organisations that offer information, forums and support to people affected by joint replacement surgery. Do you think it would be useful to provide these links?
6.Did you know that the NJR provides patient information about the procedure and implants used in joint replacement operations to help patients with decision about their care? 7.Did you know the NJR website (www.njrcentre.org.uk) provides links to partner organisations that provide post-operative information about recovery and patient blogs giving personal accounts of pre and post-op experiences?
8.If the implant card service went ahead, would you be willing through the website to answer periodic, general questionnaires on your experience and outcomes (results) following joint replacement surgery? This type of information could help the NJR to support improvement in joint replacement for all patients
