Neonatal outreach teams (also known as NCOT/Community neonatal nurses/Homecare Teams) provide support at home for babies needing extra medical support (i.e. home oxygen), or are discharged on a home tube feeding programme. They also provide an additional level of support for small or premature babies at discharge in carrying out home or virtual visits or telephone support. These services currently vary across the country.
This survey is designed to help us to shape neonatal outreach services of the future and to ensure they help to meet the needs of parents following discharge from the neonatal unit. The Networks Neonatal Outreach Group (NNOG) are keen to hear from parents whose baby was discharged from the neonatal unit in the last 5 years (regardless of whether you received this support or not).
