Submission Deadline: July 31, 2020

Conference Dates: First week of December, 2020
Theme: Engaged by Learning
Location: virtual
The theme for this year's annual conference, Engaged by Learning, is inspired by a shared aspiration across NEASC Commissions — whether independent, international, or public — for schools to foster engagement in students and educators. With the majority of schools worldwide having transitioned to some form of emergency remote learning, the challenges educators now face have inspired a creative spectrum of new approaches to engaging students and adults in learning that we hope to explore further at this year's conference.

We are interested in showcasing schools with programs or practices (both in-person and remote) that are aligned with the NEASC Standards for Accreditation and which reflect an approach that engages students and adults in learning. Schools are encouraged to include student voices in their presentations.

The following conference pathways are in development for this year's conference:
  • Engaging Students through Innovative and Flexible Learning Experience Design
  • Social and Emotional Learning
  • Assessment of Learner Impacts
  • Learning Beyond School: College, Careers, and Community
  • Professional Learning
In addition, we will expand upon the sharing and conversations started at the 2019 Annual Conference and Showcase by offering the opportunity for schools to deepen their understanding and application of design thinking with a dedicated conference pathway: Designed for Learning
