Natural Ventilation in Healthcare

This survey is part of a research project to study whether natural ventilation is viable in a patient room. Natural ventilation is not common in many hospitals due to the complexity of issues involved in tis incorporation ranging from meeting ventilation rates and requirements, reducing infection, and controlling temperature, noise, smell, etc. This study assumes that a natural ventilation strategy would be inappropriate in isolation/ICU areas. For the purpose of this study natural ventilation is either passive cooling achieved through open windows or open windows with an extraction fan to induce air movement.
