Pinehaven Cabin Micro-History Project |

Dear Pinehaven Neighbor,
We’re Gene and Rhonda Roncone, and we curate a blog on Pinehaven's history at www.cabininthepines.org. We’re working on a project to capture the micro-history of each cabin in Pinehaven—how it was built, who lived in it, and the memories that make it unique. Together, these stories preserve the larger history of Pinehaven and the Cuchara Valley.
To do this, we’re inviting cabin owners to complete a short online survey (15–20 minutes). Your responses will help us combine a short history of the land up to your cabin and write a 2000-word micro-history of your cabin. With your permission, we will then include your cabin micro-history on the blog.
.
To encourage participation, you will receive a beautiful custom mug with Pinehaven branding and we will donate $50 to the La Veta Fire Protection District Auxiliary for every cabin owner who completes a survey. You can view commpleted histories at this link.
Your participation will ensure that Pinehaven’s story is remembered not just through maps and deeds, but through the lived experiences of its people.
Thank you for helping us preserve this history.
Warmly,
Gene & Rhonda Roncone
