We collect this information on an annual basis in order to keep a pulse on the state of mushroom cultivation by small farms in the Northeast USA.

Anyone who has grown and sold mushrooms commercially during 2017 in the states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is encouraged to respond.

Answers to this survey will be kept confidential, and no individual responses will be shared publicly. Instead, we will offer a summary of the data which can be useful to a number of individuals and institutions seeking grant funding.

In addition to collecting sales and production data, we are also interested in capturing the research and education needs of the mushroom growing community. Please share your thoughts and ideas when prompted.

If you don't report annual production data to the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service, you are encouraged to contact your local representative and make sure you get counted: https://www.nass.usda.gov/
