2023 - 2024 Mighty Oaks Parent Board Nominations

Dear Parents:
 
It is that time of year for the 2023-2024 Mighty Oaks Parent Board nominations! The Tree House has been blessed with an active and supportive parent organization. This hard working group helps behind the scenes to organize many of our annual events and fundraisers. 
 
Candace Vlahos will be accepting the lead role as President. We are so lucky as parents to have such an amazing leader for the 2023-2024 Parent Board. She goes above and beyond each day for our school. The Parent Board also has a direct link with the Tree House School Board with two Parent Board Members attending the monthly School Board Meetings. 

The following are some of the events and fundraisers we plan, organize and execute as a Parent Board throughout the year: First Day of School, Parent Soiree, Trunk or Treat, Beachside Bonfire Bash, Winter Greenery Sale, Nativity Pageant Reception, Book Fair, Artful Night, Mother's Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, Kindergarten Reception and more!

Please read the job descriptions below and give careful consideration to each position for the 2023-2024 Mighty Oaks Parent Board. Please ensure you have the time to attend at least one Parent Board Meeting per month, various Committee Meetings and assist with the events and fundraisers listed above. 1.Mighty Oaks President 2023-2024 (The President shall preside at all meetings of The Mighty Oaks Parent Board; shall call special meetings when necessary; and shall perform such other duties as are necessary for executive administration. The President shall serve as an ex-officio member of all standing and special committees. The President shall serve as the organization’s representative to the Tree House School Board and will be expected to attend all School Board Meetings. One Year Term). 2.Mighty Oaks Vice President 2023-2024 (The Vice President shall perform all duties of the President during that officer’s absence and such other duties as assigned by the President. The Vice President will oversee the Nominating Committee. One year term. The President shall succeed from the office of Vice President. )
3.Mighty Oaks Secretary 2023-2024 (The Secretary shall keep the minutes of the meetings of The Mighty Oaks and of the Parent Board; conduct the necessary correspondence of the organization as requested by the President or Vice President, and shall perform such other duties as assigned by the President. One year term).
4.Mighty Oaks Treasurer 2023-2024 (The Treasurer shall be responsible for collecting all monies needed for activities supported by The Mighty Oaks; maintain a ledger of the finances and facilitate deposits and withdrawals of monies as needed via the Head of School. One year term).
5.Mighty Oaks Parent Representative 2023-2024 (The Parent Representative shall be a point of contact for all parents or legal guardians of The Tree House students should they have any questions or desire any issues to be raised or addressed by the Tree House School Board of Directors. The Parent Representative is expected to attend the Tree House School Board Meetings and Mighty Oaks Parent Board Meetings, as scheduled throughout the year. One year term).  
6.Mighty Oaks Member 2023 - 2024 - This newly added member will serve as needed on the Parent Board. Ideal candidates would be a parent who plans to continue to attend The Tree House for multiple school years.
