2026 Military Kids Vermont Apple Picking at Chapin Orchard

Due to the overwhelming response we are only accepting families with deployed service members, recently returned within the last three months and Gold Star Families. All other families will be placed on a waitlist.

We are inviting all military families and veterans to join us at Chapin Orchard in Essex Junction, VT on
Saturday, September 19th 10:00AM-1:00PM
Details:
  • Vouchers: The first 50 registered families will each receive a voucher to pick your own apples!
  • Snacks: MKVT will be offering light refreshments throughout the event!
  • Registration: Registration will close on September 11th at 12:00PM or once capacity is reached.
Please note that this event is only open to service members and their dependents.
A dependent is a person who has a relationship to the military sponsor and is entitled to certain benefits by virtue of that relationship. Certain family members, primarily a spouse, child, stepchild, or legally adopted child, are automatically entitled to dependency status.
